Google’s Charity Ad Grant is a game-changer for charities and non-profits seeking to grow their impact without breaking the bank.

Amplified Visibility

The grant provides access to Google Ads, offering up to £7,000 per month in free advertising credits. This translates to increased visibility on Google’s vast network, reaching potential supporters, volunteers, and donors.

Cost-Efficient Marketing

With the grant covering advertising costs, you can spread awareness about your cause, drive website traffic, and promote events - all without dipping into a limited budget.

Targeted Reach

Targeted ads help you connect with the right audience. By honing in on specific keywords and demographics, you can attract individuals genuinely interested in your mission.

Enhanced Engagement

Driving website traffic through ads allows your visitors to engage with your impactful stories, volunteer opportunities, and donation calls-to-action, fostering deeper connections.

Empowering Growth

Google’s Charity Ad Grant isn’t just about immediate benefits; it’s a catalyst for long-term growth. By leveraging this resource, you can expand your reach, attract more supporters, and further your mission.

In a digital age where visibility is key, Google’s Charity Ad Grant opens doors for you to maximise your impact, engage with your communities, and make a meaningful difference - all through the power of online advertising.

Sound too good to be true?

There are around 115,000 non-profits in the world accessing the Ad Grants, seeing huge improvements to their organisations.

Let us reassure you, this is an excellent programme that we highly recommend utilising, after all, it's worth £7,000 in digital advertising. But, it's important to do your research before you sign up.

In effect, you start with a blank sheet of paper when you sign up. You will need to decide on and plan out your campaigns, keywords and target audiences, and then build each campaign and advert on your Ad account. You need to make sure your campaigns meet certain criteria before you launch them. Each campaign basically bids for keywords across Google, in relation to what people are searching for. Every time your campaign is interacted with, that will result in you spending some of your monthly budget, and of course a successful interaction.

Unfortunately, many charities do not have the time or resource to invest in effectively managing their ad accounts, and therefore average a spend of around £300 per month of the grant, instead of the full £7,000.

But with the right person at the helm of your Ad Account, a full spend is easily achievable and can deliver incredible results for your charity.

Getting Started

Google have tried to make it as easy as possible for you to access the grant and you can follow their step-by-step guide here - Google Ad Grants – Free Google Ads for nonprofits.

Before you get started, you will need to decide whether you have the in-house resources to manage the campaigns, or whether you'd prefer to recruit an agency to manage your Ad Account for you. This of course comes with quite a substantial cost and is the main barrier for accessing the Ad Grant. If you choose to manage the account internally, Google provide plenty of online guides and tutorials to help you.

How we can help

If you would prefer some help getting started, but don't want to commit to ongoing monthly agency fees, then get in touch. We can create a bespoke training package to help you understand the complexities and compliance requirements of the programme and get you well on your way to managing a successful Google Ad account.
